Kumbeshwar Technical School (KTS) is a non-profit, nongovernmental organization that was established to support socially and economically deprived and underprivileged people. It is an educational and vocational training institute catering to the needs of low income families throughout the country.

The school runs a free primary and nursery school and shelter for orphans. It provides vocational training opportunities to young people in hand knitting, carpet weaving and furniture making. More than 2273 homebased producers from 5 districts of the country are benefiting from these programs. The major products of KTS include handmade wool knitwear, hand spun banana, hand spun silk and allo (nettle fiber), hand woven woolen and banana fiber carpets (RUGS) and wooden furniture.
